My Oldest Son's' Birthday & The French Inspired Home

In honor of my oldest son who will turn 7 tomorrow and the fact that he will be starting French lessons tomorrow too, I am classing this as one of my favorite books at the moment.

My camera is broken, and may have to go back to Nikon, which is why I haven’t posted for a while. Thank goodness it is not one year old, so hopefully it will be under warranty.

On the house front: We hope to have power by 5th February. After that the painters and carpenters have do their finishing and the appliances (which we ordered in June not knowing it would take this long) can be delivered. I am so pleased we have had a very mild winter in New England. Dread to think what would have happened to the house with no heat in it. I love this house, but refuse to get too excited about it after being let down too many times. My only advise if one wants to build their own home, find a well recommended contractor and be prepared to wait and wait :-)

My current love is embroidery; I found several wonderful pieces from the 1920’s that were stamped and ready to sew. I started the tablecloth last week. These pieces are Royal Society and they had the most beautiful designs.

So I am off to hunt for more.

I have also started to work on a journal for a group exchange will post photos later.
